Title: Environmental Specialist
Worksite Location: Atlanta, GA
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Job Duties: Conduct weekly, monthly and periodic Storm water, Opacity, Hazardous Waste and SPCC compliance inspections; Prepare sampling kits and monitor sampling activities for clients; Provide clients with the knowledge and assistance in obtaining the proper permits to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations; Partner with engineers to develop SPCC plans and environmental permit process; Report and certify test results to appropriate government agencies; Research and compile presentations of investigation findings and test results; Utilize appropriate software to design models to evaluate contaminants and capacity testing; Assist with preparing reports to advise clients and engineers on environmental impact; Attend project groups and technical meetings; Collect and analyze data for reports and develop models; Train technical staff assigned to projects related to environmental compliance and permitting; Allocate staff and resources for timely completion of projects and ensuring technical quality of final product (deliverable); Act as a technical resource for clients in addressing any environmental compliance with the local, state and federal environmental regulatory agencies.
Minimum Requirements: Masters degree in Environmental, Chemical or Related Engineering discipline and 2 years of experience in analytical work and regulatory compliance, including 6 months of experience in environmental regulatory compliance. Will accept course work in lieu of required experience in environmental regulatory compliance.
Travel Requirement: 30%-40% Domestic Travel.
